I'll take a stab at it.

I'd be willing to bet something much larger than the Scion collided with it causing it to crumple up like a Coke can underneath a steam roller leaving the driver of said Scion injured.

you probably did as the owner used to live in fayetteville. car was running 300whp before the accident. had a treadstone turbo on it with an afc and that was it.

Police: Drivers raced before PTC crash

By: John Munford

Beer found in injured driver’s car; other driver arrested for DUI

Two Fayetteville men were racing each other when one lost control of his car on Walt Banks Road in Peachtree City across from McIntosh High School late Tuesday night, police said.

Jeremy Liles, 23, was seriously injured in the crash, police said. Liles was going north on Walt Banks near the intersection of Southern Trace when his Scion vehicle skidded across the road and onto the cart path, police said.

The Scion struck several subdivision signs and walls, causing his vehicle to overturn onto the cart path, police said.

Police said at the time of the crash Liles was racing with the driver of a car behind him, and preliminary results of the investigation show Liles' vehicle was traveling at roughly 75 mph, police said.

That driver, Cameron Lefeuvre, 28, of Fayetteville, was charged with DUI, racing, speeding and possession of duplicate driver’s licenses, police said.

Beer and other items were found in Liles' vehicle, said Peachtree City Police Chief James Murray, but he declined to say what the "items" were, saying the investigation is ongoing.

Liles was taken to Grady Hospital for treatment, police said.

Officers expect to file additional charges pending an investigation into the crash by the department’s specially-trained accident reconstruction investigators.

"It's just lucky that nobody was coming along when he had the wreck," Murray said. "... He's lucky he's alive and he didn't kill anybody."

If so sucks for him, but its his fault. If you get hurt or die doing something wreckless, no one should feel sorry for you.

When I first heard the story, I had a feeling it was this TC that crashed. I saw it around town a few times, but never knew the exact specs. I"m sure most of you know that exact road and to at the "reported" speed is insane. Fayette co's DA is gonna have a field day.

You say you don't want to post any details out of respect for the family, but you post pictures of the wreck on a PUBLIC forum where people are going to go ahead and jump to conclusions anyway. That's not what I would call respecting the family's privacy.

Typical scion race- only 75mph. Hopefully the dumbass learned his lesson. Its risky enough racing on the highway never mind a neighborhood with kids in it.

btw- They had probably already drank some of the beer and the opem/empty cans had found there way to the garbage

1slodsm
08-03-2007, 10:59 AM
kinda funny because when Grady Hospital did a blood and urin text on him they found no traces of anything in his blood stream. I.E. Beer or any other drug

which is ironic cus in the story, they suspect him to be drinking. They're probably not going to consider that sealed cans could of been busted open during the wreck. Still puzzles me why he would be "racing" on that road.

My ass he wasn't racing... Sorry to hear about the wreck but glad he is alive to even learn his lesson.

Myself along with many others I'm sure have raced on bad roads and in bad places like by neighborhoods, but stories like this one gives me chills just knowing it could happen to me. Doesn't mean you have to bash him. Yea he was being a MORON but thats life.... LIVE AND LEARN
