Need quick answers...HELP....OPINIONS on clutch\Flywheel combo

OK....so I am putting in another LS engine in my DA this weekend...money is tight and I want to go with a stage 2 clutch and lightened flywheel....ebay has some deals.....gimme your thoughts as I have never heard of some of these brands...need to order today! I want a full face clutch...car will basically be stock for now....few bolt ons....I know Excedy\Fidanza would be good.....not sure bout the rest.... Thanks

Don't go with the no names. I would go with the exedy stage 1 and the Exedy flywheel. Don't get an aluminum flywheel, get chromoly steel. The aluminum have the starter teeth ring pressed on, and if you buy a cheap one, they are known to come apart sometimes.

btw, the link you have for the exedy clutch is not a performance clutch, but a oem replacement. Get the exedy stage 1. I know you say money is tight, but the clutch is going to be in the car for a while, so go with something good. A real exedy stage 1 is about $325, and the exedy flywheel is about $350.

Money is not an option...its either auto parts store or the Excedy\Fidanza combo....at least with that I get a quality name behind the product and still get the benefit of a lighter flywheel....I will not do anything more right now than bolt ons....stock B18 ls motor and I do not race...just looking to make it a bit more fun.... Thanks

i got a XTD, seemed fine.. that sucker lasted a long time, and never broke or failed on me.

I did a good bit of web surfin and research....got good and bad comments about XTD, XTR and F1 Racing....here is what I noticed...XTR and XTD are sold by diff ebay sellers...both kits look similar...AND the manuals that they show in the pic...both are yellow with the same black print....the F1 system.....has the same flywheel description as one of the others....AND....neither of the 3 companies have any sort of a web site....or at least not one that is easy to find...and I know how to search the web pretty well. I am sure they are ok products....but I figure...stock is really OK for me...so the Excedy clutch\pressure plate with the lightened flywheel should be more than all I need for now.
