Lately i've been having some spyware problems i think. Sometimes i open a webpage and instead of that page loading a porn site or friend finder opens. I used Spybot and Ad-Aware and cleaned all what i could. Im also using AVG virus protection and i think i may have some trojan horse as well. Whats the best free verison that i can use to clean out the trojan horse and fix my problem?

Microsoft AntiSpyware blows... go to trendmicro.com and use their free online scan. It scans for viruses and spyware and will clean it for you. Best thing its free and its one of the best scanners out there.

You need to go to download.com and download Hijack This. Run a scan in safe mode. You don't want to delete everthing that it finds as a lot of it will be legitimate. If you want save the log and post it here, or PM me and I can tell you which ones to remove.

Ive heard big shots like the Microsoft and NOrton arent that good, bc Hackers know their systems too well and have figured out ways around them..So maybe the smaller named guys r your best shot. Ive heard AntiVi was good

Open task manager and close applications you do not know. Then open the control panel. From there open add or remove programs. View the list and remove software that is unknown to you. Then try a spy ware cleaner.

when i view my add/remove software, i have a thing called OIN (OuterInfo Network).. when i click remove it sends me to a webpage and wants me to fill out a little survey then click remove. It then asks if i want to save or run the Uninstall file... i dont feel comfy running or saving it since it is obviously some form of spyware.. what do i do?

Lol..I can\'t believe some of the crap you guys let into your PC. PC protection is like a car security..you need layers. Yes, get Adaware, Spybot, Hijack This, and all the other majors programs. Download the trail version of Webroot Spy Sweeper. All these catch spyware the others may miss. Also, try Scottie on Patrol ( free version ) it will monitor changes to your homepage and lets you monitor the cookies etc. Run scans before you open the programs you guys download. Not all freeware is friendly.

man i have used quite a few of those programs and it still changes some of the sites i click on to like www.adultfinder.com or a site about playing poker with chicks. i just want to be able to click links without having it pop up a porn site on top of that.
