any 1/2 impact that puts out 250-300 ft/lbs would work fine, a little higher would be best

3/8 impacts around 100ft/lbs
3/8 air wrench around 65/70 ft/lbs
3ft prybar and breaker bars are also nice to have around

Ingersol-Rand Titanium series guns are just about the best I've ever used. The new Snap-On guns with the hammer stop are great guns also.

for 1/2" get the ingersol-rand 2135Ti (ive got the QTi model, its quiet). The ingersol-rand 38 titanium is nice but i use a Snap-On MG31 and its very strong, you can even do most lug-nuts with it.

I try to not go by ft/lb ratings. On cheaper guns the manufacturers typically fudge the specs, but in all actuality they are weak

my 1/2" is a craftsman professional series composite and the 3/8" & 1/4" are from matco, never had any problems with either

the higher end matco impacts = ingersol-rand. they are indenticle except for the case on them is red

Yep, Matco and Snap On Both use Ingersol impacts a lot of the time and relabel them as Matco/Snap On

Craftsman FTW... My entire toolbox is made up of craftsman tools, mainly because if I manage to break them, they replace them no questions.

same guns but the matco ones have a longer warranty. its just if u wanna pay for the warranty. apparently theres a piece in the trigger thats supposed to go out around when the IR warranty goes out but i havent had a problem with mine yet. i got the matco 3/8 and 1/2 ones bc my matco guy price matched them for me :goodjob: they kick ass though!!! i honetly wouldnt get a 1/2 impact with less than like 600 ft/lbs. i think mine does 700 max or so and i still have trouble with some stuff sometimes. just bc it says it can do 200 ftlbs doesnt mean that u actually get a useable 200 from it. plus cheap air tools suck. cheap tools suck period in my opinion but i beat the shit out of mine daily so good tools are a must
