You may try the Ninja 500R over the 250. I would think the 250 would be a bit small.

you would probibly have better chnce in the motorcycle forum below... but for a starter bike... i wouldnt recomend a 250, the 250 is really small with almost no power and you would loose intrest or want a bigger one within a month... i would go with a suzuki katana 600 or a honda f4i 600 (they dont make those anymore so it would have to be used, but that was my first street bike and loved it) or kawasaki has a great zzr600... its basically a touring bike with a crotch rocket style, if your looking at kawasaki's, i would highly recomend that. or even a dualsport bike... have the best of both worlds, street and dirt

The Triumph Speed Triple is one of the greatest bikes I've ever ridden.

It's classified as a cruiser so for me at 18 to get one insured would be 30 dollars a month.

It looks amazing.

id say get a GSXR600

but if your young, get a ZZR600 due to the fact that you get all the goodies of a sport bike, but the insurance price of a touring bike

I would look into any 600cc bike. If you have ridden dirt bikes you should pick up the technique really quick. Good luck with this. I started on a 12r wasn't to smart. It was fun just to much bike for a 16yr old.
