and...
Honda promised us a factory-prepared, Mugen-tuned Civic at last fall's Specialty Equipment Market Association show in Las Vegas. Before this year's SEMA show, Honda will deliver.

Starting in October, Honda will begin selling the 2008 Civic Mugen Si sedan, priced at just less than $30,000. Available in Fiji Blue Pearl only, just 1000 of the cars will be available in the first model year.

Equipped with a high-performance suspension, forged-aluminum wheels, aerodynamic body styling and a cat-back exhaust system, the Civic Mugen Si brings factory-backed Japanese domestic-market tuning for the first time to Hondas sold in the United States.

The car features lowered suspension, aggressive spring and damper tuning, lightweight 18-inch aluminum wheels and a front spoiler, side spoilers, rear bumper diffuser and rear wing. Mugen emblems complete the appearance package.

The car uses the same Civic Si running gear, including a 2.0-liter, 197-hp, 139-lb-ft four-cylinder engine and a six-speed manual transmission.

I'm a fan of civics and Hondas and all... but 30k for a civic is a little too much...

I just couldnt' justify droppin that much on a civic, when i could go get a gently used s2000 for a lot less.

HOWEVER... the civic model would be a sedan... hmmmm [ponders this thought...]

i do love sedans oh so much

remember though, they are only making 1000 copies. People will buy it for the rarity of the vehicle

No way in hell I would pay $30,000 for a Civic, let alone one with no engine mods. Who the hell are they kidding????

glorified, overpriced, rice. you could get a 2000, or whatever year you like, and dump 15k into it and it would be WAY better than that

18" wheels and "aerodynamic body styling" on a civic... I think that's what the import scene nowadays call rice.
