A little IA history for the NOObZ....

IA.COM was in the works from NOV 2000... Didnt Become public until FEBRUARY 24th, 2001. It was online though, But only a few people had access to it before it when public for testing and shit.
The 1st person I ever told about IMPORTATLANTA.COM was 4bangin through AIM. We use to post on Honda-acura.net back in 2000.
Then I shot the Idea to brian miller from PI and boom shakalaka. I had no idea how to build a website, till this date, I know nothing. I was familiar with moderating forums since I was a Mod for Honda-acura.net and a Admin for Hondaclub.com, so that I knew how to deal with.
I shouldve gone with Vbulletin since day 1, But since EZBOARD at the time had better features ( so I thought) I used that and it sucked.
Then to FORUMCO.. then to INFOPOP.. and now VBULLETIN, wich is cool because I own the License for it and have a great hosting company to go along with that.

How Did the Idea come up :

Back in 2000, I use to Be a regular on Honda-Acura.net and Hondaclub.com and beleive it or not on the famous SIATLANTA.COM (Now IMPORTLOUNGE.COM )
SIATLANTA.COM was really the only forum at the time for the locals.. back then I use to go to meets at FUDS Gwinnett and Northpoint meets (yeah NP is old Skool fools).. Also at the time EAST COAST HONDA was still around and use to hangout with some of them at these meets by the gwinnett mall. I would notice at these meets that the SIATLANTA peeps would hangout in there own little groups instead.. So alot of people around that time thought the SIATLANTA was a car club, I beleive it was, But not sure.. I mean, they use to go to car shows and represent as SIATLANTA. But anyways, I notice how SIATLANTA was getting big at the time... and thats when I jumped on it and took advantage of the situation. Created a site For everyone.. Im sure SIATLANTA.COM was also for everyone, But with the name and the way some acted at the meets.. some people felt that if they were not a part of SIATLANTA they could not fit in or something.
Like I said.. Thats the VIBE I got and Jumped on it... a few month later IA.com was born and bang... here we are.

I guess going with what I thought worked out.. Who cares if I was wrong or right.. =]
