hey guys....i was at honda (http://www.honda-tech.com/zeromodify?cmd=editpost&id=29068012#) ther other day to pick up an oil filter and decided to get a free 40-point inspection and the tech told me the normal stuff like new tires..rotations..etc most of the stuff that i already knew.
but what i didn't know was that they said two of my motor mounts needs replacing. i asked them why and they said because they are cracked. Well i took a look at the mounts and the bracket itself isn't crack. so i didn't think much of it at the time.
But lately i have noticed some lost power and the engine not pulling as hard. I'm thinking it is the rubber oem bushions that are probably worn out. And when i turn i hear a slight rubbing noise which i think may be the rubber wearing out..Could that be the problem?
i'd appreciate any help. I was thinking of just getting a set of either Prothane or Energy Suspension Motor Mount inserts to fix the problem...is one better than the other? i was thinking of just upgrading to some avid mounts but i'm tight on cash at the moment and the inserts sound like a good affordable solution
