After looking for the right car for the longest I finally bought this car in Augusta. It needs some TLC but it will be well worth it. These are the pictures the guy had taken of the car. I'm going to get it cleaned up before I have new pictures taken. Tell me what you think and advice on what I should do.

Thanks everyone, I plan on doing suspension work before I do anything with the engine. I do want to build up the KA instead of a SR.

CRAP! I was wondering if anyone had bought that car! You scored big time...can't wait to see how it turns out.

I will personally kill you if you put an "Akina Speed Stars" decal on there.

It looks good. Can't wait to see this car when you're done with it.

Go for a V8!(BAD IDEA)
I'de just put and SR in it. RB20 parts har hard to find like the CA18. However, there is a never ending list of new SR20 parts

Elbow
07-25-2007, 01:34 PM
Yeah do V8! Why is it a bad idea? Not much heavier then a KA if at all, LS's are lighter, hell swap a 302 in it, can be done cheaper then a SR.

NewGen33
07-25-2007, 02:40 PM
Just going to build up the KA unless I get tired of it.

Ka-t > all other motors for 240s are played the hell out imo . Trust me man build the ka then add the turbo and stomp most everything around :D .

You guys make swapping in a different engine seem so simpleIt is relatively simple...especially with pre-fabricated mounting kits.

Well I still got some learning to do for the most part and some money that needs to be made.

Come on guys the kid is not loaded with cash . A built v8 , rb , sr , is going to cost serious $$$ . A simple ka - t swap is a great option imo . Plus with vary little engine work ie swapping out pistons and refreshing old block internals . Bam you have a reliable , pretty damn quick 240 .

Two Tone Pig Nose Coupes FTMFW.

Whatever you do, leave the paint scheme the same.

KA-T's are just as capable as SR's, so go for it. And if your somewhat skilled with motors, doing it yourself saves lots of $$.

Thanks man, I plan on repainting it the same color because the paint on it is in horrible condition. And KA-T FTW
