oh god

I can't believe CNN actually reported on that. IT doesn't work on all phone's, only on the newest, and from there, they only use it on suspected terror suspects

Is this like the PATRIOT Act, where they said that it would only be used on terrorists but they ended up using it on things like drug dealers and people who had absolutely no link with terrorism? As they say, absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Gay, don't be a terrorist and you will be fine. BTW- That was Fox News, not CNN.

If you're not hiding anything then who cares?! You think they would be doing it just for the entertainment or ever thought it might actually be to protect us and keep our freedom? If someone wants to listens to me talk to a buddy, order a pizza, or have phone sex with a chick that's outta town you think I really honestly care?

As QD said, live in another country...enjoy their freedom. Nothing is stopping you from leaving.

Dam indians, and I dont mean the native red onesWhat the hell does people from India have to do with this subject?

Everyone is paranoid nowadays. Why would anyone care to listen to your boring conversations?

You know this came out on talk radio today and apparently the first time this was used was on a crime family in new york. they were nextels. If your that paranoid, take the battery out. or dont get a cell phone. every person who doesnt have one is one less person to cause an accident playing tetris on 75 or one less person who goes 25 in a 45 while trying to dial a fucking number.

This actually started long before 911 when the "Anti Terror Legislation" was passed, a year after the Oklahoma City bombing on April 19 1996, when 168 people lost their lives. Which in effect took away many of our constitutional rights and civil liberties as a means to, "Protect us from Terror.” Then was taken Further after September 911 with the passing of the Patriot Act (2001...gutted the First, Third, Fourth and Fifth Amendments, and seriously damaged the Seventh and the Tenth), Homeland Security Act, Military Tribunals Act, Real ID Act (2005), Our Lady of Peace Act, Patriot Act II (aka "Domestic Security Enhancement Act of 2003," or Son of Patriot and now Victory Act...by its very structure the definition of dictatorship) and the "North American Union" (purposed “Amero” system and “Open Borders” policy), . With these, nearly all our original "Bill of Rights," has been subverted, and the constitution as we know it has become all but obsolete... Let's be frank. The government has an insatiable appetite for data. But the mindless accumulation of data is not intelligence! Intelligence requires focused thinking and focused questions. Instead, we're building a Tower of Babel. If this continues, we'll get the worst of both worlds -- all the disadvantages of widespread privacy invasion with none of the security benefits. Despite whether you believe they are actually using it to Spy on innocent Americans or not, doesn’t take away from the fact that it directly effects us as a ppl. It stands to ratify even further an already crumbling constitution. Also the fact So many people cowardly suggest leaving the Country to escape these said atrocities is pretty disconcerting, and a real testament of what most “Americans” are made of. Running away will never fix anything, instead stand up for what you believe in, get involved and BE HEARD!!
You have to admit, it’s a beautiful script. Unfortunately, it’s being played out in the real world. If we don’t get the word out that government is using terror to control our lives while doing nothing to stop the Terrorists, we will deserve what we get - tyranny. But our children won’t deserve it.
