Name's Alex. New to Import Atlanta, got into it from a friend, acura_dude.
I drive a 1989 Pontiac Bonneville with about 129,700 miles that's been with the family since '92 and I've been the primary driver of it for a few years This picture is at least 2 years old and the paint has gone to hell since, as if it weren't bad enough already.

The car is nothing special, it's nothing fast, the fuel economy isn't all that great, but I don't remember a time when it wasn't in the driveway and I'll miss the car once it's gone. I want to get it repainted and fix the few little errors I can and sell it for as much as I can possibly milk it for. It Blue Books for about $800 in better than actual condition. Once the tank is gone, I've been hunting down 1st gen MX5 Miatas for the last 2 years. I've got a fat stack of free catalogs from Go Miata, Moss, Mmmiata, and some other people with parts. I love those little roadsters to death.

I'm also on Initial D World (http://www.idforums.net/), and have been on there since November 2002, but I've since pretty much grown out of anime and the whole AE86 fanboy thing. My name on there is eightsixdrifter9.

I'm in Forsyth County, but there don't seem to be many meets going on around here. I worked at Lakeland Plaza Kroger for a year and a half and the rednecks in lifted trucks and Jeeps and dumbass kids on bikes would meet just about every night infront of Blockbuster, but that's just idiots with nothing better to do hanging out. Don't get me wrong, I love sportbikes almost as much as I love anything on four wheels, but 9 times out of 10, any highschool kid who thinks he can ride a ZX-10 just wants to smash his head on the curb. My dad rides a '99 ZX-6 and he rides pretty conservatively, but still likes to goose it from time to time.

So, how's that for an introduction?

Nice intro, lolol. Welcome to IA. Nice to see someone who doesn't have a "bad ass" complex come through for once. Later, QD.

Haha, thanks. I appreciate that. I don't know if I'll get to posting a lot. I'll probably just keep lurking and watching for Cumming/Alpharetta/Duluth (aka "John's Creek") meets. I know I've seen a handful of exotic meets at the Caribou Coffee in John's Creek. I'm also really pleased with some of the Mazdas I see around with OPM being so close.

Ah, he and I should make great road trip buddies :gay:
I kid I kid, I joke I joke.
I think I have an account on Club Roadster but I really don't remember to log-in info. I'll look that up now. As for Miatas on the Gap, my dad and I have been wanting to plan a trip to US-129 for a while, but I really want to have my hands on a Miata before we do it. I'd have a little red roadster and he'd have his little red Ninja. Father and son, through 318 curves in 11 miles.
