If you are available Saturday(7/28/07) for an interview, please shoot me a PM if I haven't already spoke to you yet.

I see all these people complaining about finding a job, well I have one for you. Can you pull wire, can you splice two wires, and can you act professional?

I need 2 separate crews of 5-6 people per crew. 10-12 people total. Some electrical background helps but not necessary.

Absolutely NO DRUGS! If you smoke weed or do anything else, don't even send me a PM. You would be wasting your time and mine.

I am in need of people who are mature, responsible, mechanically inclined, and are willing to travel some. I install security systems in major retail stores. These systems include cameras, door alarms, dvr's, power supplies, and pulling wire.

We use scissor lifts to pull wire and install the cameras so we are only allowed on the floor at night between the hours of 8 pm and 8 am. NIGHT SHIFT! The store is pretty much dead at those hours so its much easier to work at night.

This job sends us anywhere in the southeast including Alabama, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, and of course Georgia.

We actually get to go to some pretty cool places. I have worked in Jacksonville FL numerous times, Savannah GA, all over Alabama, all over Georgia, Ashville NC, Nashville TN just to name a few.

We do get local stores also.

If we work away from the Atlanta area, all hotel or apartment expenses are paid by the company along with gas to and from the job. Most of our employees come back home on the weekend since most of the time we are within a few hours from Atlanta.

If you pick it up fast and want to become a project manager, I can get you $15-20 hour with bonuses.

A number of people that have only worked for us for one year are making $17 hour as a technician.

You will be a sub contractor so you will need to take care of your own taxes.

This job is EASY compared to other shitty ass jobs only paying $8-$10 per hour. Why continue busting your hump for shitty pay when you could be making $15-$20 per hour?

Stop bitching about not working and come work for me.

PM me your contact info and give me some reasons as to why you would be good at this job.

This company has done stores in Hawaii also. There is no telling where we might need to go, but most of it is in the southeast.

Occasionally there is work as far as Texas but only a few of our guys chose to go which is not a big deal. I personally choose to stay around the southeast myself.

do you have to use your own car to get to the job sites??

Many of us carpool to go out of state. There is no point in 6 people driving 6 cars to the same job unless you just feel like driving.

We have fun when we go to a new place. We check out the scenery, go fishing, go see movies, go to the local pool or beach if on the coastline. If its legal to gamble in that state we go to casinos too, lol.

Savannah was cool, we stayed in a 3 bedroom furnished apartment on the island right before Tybee. I can't remember the name of it though, but it was right on the water.

Sounds like Wilmington Island. I was in Savannah a few days last week myself, working. Later, QD.

Do the compensate your for gas? What about the hotel/apt, they pay for all that?

Is it mostly weekends, cause if so, I'd be down.

ditto on wishing this was local......already have the $2+ per hour day gig, but wouldn't mind a night gig to stack some play money for new toys....

How does $12 an hour sound too good to be true? Its night shift only, and requires alot of travel. So I guess that would be the catch.

Gas, hotel, or furnished apartment is all paid by the company.

All the work is Monday night-Friday morning and we come home for a 3 day weekend.

 No catch. We start people with no experience at $12 and some background in wiring at $15 per hour.

Actually, now that I think about it, our lowest paid tech is making $15 an hour and hes only been working for us for a couple of months.

If we see you pick it up quick we up your pay just as fast.

I can't reiterate how nice this job is. I love it!

For people who apply themselves and want to become a project manager, you can make $60,000-$80,000 a year plus bonuses. I began running my own projects after just 2 stores and I've been doing this for 2 years now.

I won't say what I make, but I do pretty damn good. ;) Just ask my friends on here. I'm looking to retire early.

I take care of hard workers, the more money you make me the more money I pay you.

Yeah my dad has worked for Tyco, SimplexGrenal(sp), ADT, Mosler, and other major Banking and Security companys. Hes now works for Checkpoint Security and we also run a small time residental and my brother has picked up a few firestones! I am good at running wire but the last time i helped me and my dad did a house on lanier and that was about a year ago! So i am not going to say that i am a expert at this but i have done alot of wiring running and strip and crimp pretty good!

Thanks to everybody that has shown interest.

Hey guys, I have called back about half of the people that responded and I'm burned out on phone calls. I have to pack and get things ready to head out of town with my wife so I couldn't call everybody.

I'm looking to have people come in for interviews next Friday or possibly Saturday if I don't have to go to a wedding on Saturday. Monday before I head out of town might also be an option.

Thanks again for all the replies.

Ok, I'm back from Jekyll Island. Sorry I haven't responded to everybody yet. I have about 40 different people interested in this job.

I'm trying to open my schedule for Saturday so I can conduct some interviews.

If you are available Saturday(7/28/07) for an interview, please shoot me a PM if I haven't already spoke to you yet.

A good portion of the people responding have some background in wire pulling, cat5, electrical, fiber, or cctv installation. That definitely helps.

Thanks again,
Phil

So what do sub-contractors make after taxes?

How in the hell could I answer that if I don't know how much YOU would make.

A sub contractor could make $50,000 or $120,000 depending on how much they work.
