I am dropping a B20 into my integra and i wanted to know if i needed to sleeve my block when i went B20/ vtec. And of course i will get Dart sleeves if i need to do it. As you guys should know a B20 isnt made for vtec, my boy has a B20 vtec and he was runnin so hard that the block had scars on the walls. Just wanted to know what you guys thought.

dart makes aluminum blocks and heads. darton does sleeves. but unless you are going turbo, i wouldnt worry about it. and even if you are going turbo, if you keep it under 300whp you should be fine

if he had scars it was not becuase of how hard he was running..it was becuase of how fucked his rings were..obviously had oil problems. on one hand you have the motor apart so you might as well build it...but on the other hand its a b20 with a vtec head and all motor...just slap it together untill you get enough money saved to boost a gsr

i have a ls motor also, they are better, i was going to use to b20 because it is complete. and boost not, a b20 the ls will be better for that. the only reason the ls is not an option is for the fact it needs pistons and needs to be cleaned/resurfaced

thats a great question. i plan to stay N/A, although boost seems to be tempting, that is why i keep th LS block around just in case

depends on how high a compresssion you gonna run, and if you gonna run a supercharger or turbo... on a turbo majority of people sleeve their block once they are 14+psi to be safe

So what compression do you think i should go for, i hope to pull around 180 to 190 hp with a all motor build.

for an NA app;ication no sleeving is neccesary up to 250whp.

see it done with no problems

turbo, anything over 10psi i would sleeve on a b20

I don't believe ctr pistons would work in a b20 either, unless he's talking about "ctr style" pistons. Ctr is somewhere like 81mm, while a b20 is somethin like 84mm.
