I know there have been some threads in the past few years about favorite movies.. but most have been failures, and are not up to date

I've always wanted to make this kind of thread as a reference, because I get bored pretty easily
A lot of times I enter Blockbuster Videos and am not sure if the movies I rent are worth the 2 hours of my time
Hopefully this thread will help

Everyone list your favorite movies and TV series
try to list as many that comes to mind (around 10 -20 would be ideal)
Don't start listing random movies that you like, i mean movies you would take with you on a stranded island (because I can list 100's)
Try to make only ONE post and feel free to update that post as you watch new movies!

..and try to categorize them by different genres if possible

I'm all over CSI. Only just got hooked on it early this year. Been plenty of times where I've sat and watch all 4 fucking hours each night on Spike. Lolol. Later, QD.

Good shows and yes Las Vegas is the better one. William Peterson has a way to be hilarious while being serious at the same time.

It's the bluntness...and of course, his words of wisdom.

Favorite movie is hard for me to say, too many that I like. A few I like a whole lot and could watch more than once or twice would be Letters From Iwo Jima, Fearless, The Good Shepherd, and more. As for tv, Band of Brothers hands down, followed my Man VS Wild.

Building it Big is a new series on the Discovery Channel about the construction and how to make alot of the bigger things in the world (skyscrapers, rollercoasters, tanks). I watched the last episode on the making/repairs/training on the Abraham tank used in the army. A 120mm cannon that has dot accuracy (can shoot a coke can from miles away), weights around 65 tons, can do 40 mph, has penetration missiles for other tanks, can take out building in one shot.

lol i dont watch that much tv to know too many sitcoms. i mostly watch game shows, anime, some reality shows, CNN, animal planet, and Travel channel. lol all the above looks great on HD on big screen with surround sound. I enjoy the sound and tv more than the actual movie or tv show sometimes.
