I need some R12 to re-charge my car, anyone know any shops that will still do it? Or where I can get some cans?

Autozone, but you need a license to purchase R12 and it 32 or 37 a can if im not mistaken. Just get the conversion kit for R32 for $35 and be better of.

I was also looking into this and none of my options were any good. I asked Corey's Auto in Cumming to get me an estimate on how much it would cost to convert to r-134a and after running some tests, it turns out my something in the system, probably the AC compressor, is no good. They had some r-12 and gave it a partial charge and it just leaked right out. To have it working again and charged with 12 or converted and charged with 134a would cost more than the car itself.

This has been a looong summer. Stubborn crank windows and no AC.

Convert it to R134a, you can buy retrofit kits at autozone and stuff for about $40-50 bucks and they come with two new cans of r134a to fill your system up...its easy to install, just screw on new fittings on top of the old one...
