ok to my surprise when i bought my hatch it had wheel locks on the wheels!! As if someone would want to steal them. Anyhow i need to get these wheels off and the car doesnt have the key in it anywhere. The salesman i bought the car from doesnt know where the key is either. I wen to autozone to look for some locks that are similar to mine but no dice! Any way to remove these locks without breaking the studs as i really dont want to replace 4 studs for no reason at all. I'm thinking about trying O'reily's as well as pep boys any help would be great guys. Ill post a pic of the wheels just for shits and giggles!

i dont have a cam or i would post pics of them but they have small grooves on the base of the bolt the top part is completely smooth so i dont think the gator grip socket would work but i have heard of it before. imagine you had a hot dog and you cut slits in it but only at the bottom the slits being veritcal ones thats exactly how these locks look im going to go to pep boys in a bout a hour to check them out but i need to get these off as you can see the wheels suck!

any shop should be able drill them off. if they are good, they wont break the studs

I heated them up with a welder and melted mine off- not a good solution, but a last resort

plain and simple, break the lug nuts and get another set

i had the same problem when i bought a car. I went to O'reily's and bought a set of impact sockets that remove stripped lug nuts. I beat them on with a hammer and used a breaker bar and long pipe to get them free. It took a while, but it worked. good luck.. i think they were about $5.00 for the set of two.

This is so funny, on another thread you had some idiots saying how easy it is to remove wheel locks and i said its not a game having to take off wheel locks without the key. Glad to see you got them off.
