iPOD vs Zune

Well..I've been thinking hard about investing on a mp3/music player since I don't own one...yeah i know... So I'm asking ATL's finest for opinions..Microsoft or Apple?

i just like the fact that you dont have to convert videos to play on a zune while with an ipod you must convert videos to an MP4

if your not gonna watch videos on them tho get an ipod

for all the support and everything for iPods, converting videos with a FREE video converter off the internet is just a small price to pay.

I am huge anti iPod because I hate Apple first off and everthing they make. And I hate getting the "in" thing that everyone wants and everyone has to have and everyone ends up having. Thus my preference of the Zune.

But all that in mind, I refuse to put over $100 into a freakin music player! My Creative 1gb suits me well. Perfect size so I can use it when I work out, and holds the songs I am listening to at the time. I don't need every song I've ever heard on it. And I sure as hell have no use for a small screen to watch any kinda movie or show.

The features are just as function as the iPod's, and the community is what it is. At least you don't get elitist Apple fanboys there. lol

to be fair, i posted that nearly a year and a half ago before the new models came out. haha. Still though, the third party support and better interface (imo) of the iPod lines still makes them superior in my eyes. I should add a disclaimer - I'm a huge Apple zealot, but not one of the douchebags who thinks it makes me cool or something. In other words, I don't make a point to be seen sipping Starbucks chai while typing on my Macbook :lmfao:

I just bought a sansa fuze 4 gig. It plays music and video (which sucks), and also has a fm tuner and a Micro SD slot. I only listen to it while I'm at work, so it fits what i need perfectly.

I don't have either, but I'd definitely opt for the Ipod. I've used both and the Ipod just has a better interface. Plus it has far more 3rd party support.

Just get one of those walkman phones and call it a day.....

i have the W580i and so far it hasn't dissapointed me. Take it on the plane (Flight mode), play it in the car (Via aux in) or on my home stereo (again via aux) etc. plus the convenience of just drag and drop files and go. No programs, no fuzz, and it syncs right with my Windows Media if I want it to.

And it has an FM Tuner to boot.

there's an easy free program for that too called HandBrake :goodjob: I use it to convert DVD's for my PS3


I also have the w580i good phone too, but I prefer to keep my music in my iPod (zune's best feature is wireless updatability) Plus my head unit has an iPod plug and a USB plug (no Cd's) since a refurbed iPod is cheap that's what I went with

I have a zune and when I updated the software recently, it said I had to read and agree to the terms of service. When I sign in it says cookies disabled.....well they are freakin NOT disabled GD it!!! I have spent an hour trying to fix the shit.

So I tried to sign in on my blackberry using opera mini and agree to the TOS. Won't work.
I am about to try the regular browser to see if that works on the blackberry.
My last try will be to use my ps3, after that I am going to check my laptop settings again.
