i'm cleaning up my truck tonight... i need to get it cleaned up real nice cause i'm hoping to sell it this weekend...

there is some grease/oil in the bay and wheel wells (no i'm not trying to cover up flaws.. they are being/have been taken care of) i just want to make it look good cause i'm selling it to a friend but his Grandfather has the final say... Most older men are very peculiar(spl??!!1/!?!) on buying vehicles.. so i want to just make sure it's clean and presentable...

The concentrate, or do you dilute it first? I've had the same question.

Also, is it engine/engine bay safe?

i have yet to dilute it and I use it to clean the engine bay, it does not dorrode the hoses and shit so I doubt it would corrode the cv boots

Greased lightning is like cleaning crack. Or A tooth brush dipped in acid. Go with the first one.

Purple Power, Bleach White, Krud Kutter and Grease Lightning work the same as Simple Green. You won't have a problem with it eating at anything under your hood.

My old engine bay after cleaning it with Purple Power.

engine brite foam is the easiest IMO

spray that shit on, let it sit for 10 minutes, then spray that shit off... walaa

then go over it with some purple power and a soft brush, spray that down and baam ur good

bought some degreaser last night from o'reilys.... it did a decent job, i'm not looking for "show" quality.. this is a lifted toyota pickup... it basically looks better caked in mud! lol. i'm replacing the valve cover gasket and stuff today or tomorrow.. and i wanted the grossness washed off so he could tell there weren't any leaks...

i may clean it a bit more extensively early saturday morning before the sell...

REPS TO THOSE THAT HELPED!!!!

i use WD40 and brake parts cleaner.

it works great.

toothbrush for paint.

wire brush for block and metal parts.

the WD40 conditions the hoses and helps prevent cracking.

Nothing but purple power and a pressure washer. I guess the pressure washer made a big difference. No paint or brushes used.
