Here's the deal, my car has started to shut off in the middle of driving and stranding me on the side of the road. The first time it did it i had it towed home and replaced cap, rotor, wires, plugs, fuel filter, and fuel pump. It ran for 1 day and left me stranded in the middle of athens where while on the side of the road someone jacked it up and stole my exhaust(different story). Anyways, even with the exhaust missing, it should at least start up, but nothing. It turns over great and its getting spark and fuel. What gives??

ok do a fuel preasure check, then see what color spark you get should be strong blue, then do a compression check, could be burnt valves or is your cat on? might be stopped up if it is on take your o2 sensor out an see if it cranks if it does your cat is bad, one of these 4 things should help you diagnosis !! just my .02 cents

spark=blue
fuel pump=can hear it running
alternator=good
no, it does not run like shit at all, just randomly shuts off in the middle of driving and wont crank back up.
Im thinking it may be the pressure regulator, if its bad, its just going to feed the fuel back into the return line and not pressurize enough to feed the injectors right?? Does this sound like a legit theory??
