I'm thinking of building a B16a1 bottom end with a gsr P72 head that I have sittin around.

1st- Is this a good combo, and what would it be considered(like ls/vtec)?

2nd- I want the highest compression with stock internals so was thinking of CTR pistons on stock PR3 rods. Or would PR3/P30 pistons be best?

Last- The head has ITR valve spings and retainers so I was going to get ITR cams. Whats the best injector to use with this setup?

1.No, is not considered LS/Vtec. b16 can be a fun motor to rev high with and have fun with, depending on what car it goes in.

2. IMO, i would do LS/Vtec and screw the b16. More torque, more power.
ctr pistons go well with the b16 bottom end.

3.stock gsr injectors are fine. you are not built nor have high compression pistons.

That question was part of the subject. anyone will tell you that scrapping the B16A bottom end and building a LS/VTEC engine is the way to go. Get a B18B shortblock, build it to your specs, and put the P72 (GSR) head on it. Dont worry about the ITR cams, go ahead and get some real cams. Go with a different Intake manifold as well (if you were planning on using the GSR IM). Dont forget about getting it tuned. Thats where the real power is at.

if you do LSVTEC dont use CTR Pistons. use P30 or PR3 b16 pistons.

^^ ya do that, mike actually told me to when i bought head and on my gsr block with pr3 piston my CR is 11.9
