What's the best way to shave off emblems?
What do you mean? Be more specific. If you are talking about just taking the emblem off(if its held on with adhesive) you can use a hair dryer to heat it up a little, dental floss to remove it, and goo gone to get rid of residue.

Not everybody has access to a mig welder genius.
However for something small such as an emblem hole, don't use bondo. Just get a little spot puddy. It's not enough to make your ride trashy so it'd be just fine.

So, find someone with a mig welder and do it the right way so you don't have to do it again in a year.

If you kno what the hell your doing you can do it w/out havin to do it again in a year. me personally, i'd Rivet the holes shut, sand em flush, use a little spot puddy to smooth it out, and be done.

Whether it leaves them or not, you've now been given sure fire ways to take care of them. I'd just go ahead and give it a shot. If it does leave holes and you don't feel like fixing them, put some 2 part epoxy, or emblem glue on it, and stick it back on.

I've been doing this sort of thing for years. I know the ins and outs of it. Weld it shut, then finish on top of it.

yea but anybody who wants more than a half ass job will get the holes welded in. A body shop would not charge much just to weld the holes up if you do the prep. You got to get the shit painted anyway, might as well let a body shop do it all.
