guys i have a d15b7 block wit a z6 head on it .... OBD-1 ..... thought there was no CKP = crankshaft positioning sensor .... but i have a CEL for that code ... WTF !>?!?! i replaced dizzy ,ecu,engine harness to Si harness .... and done evrything in my possible nature to get this car running again with out it running stupid rich ....... i thought obd-2 cars had that sensor and obd1 didnt ... so why do i have a cel light on a obd-1 computer ???? IM LOST .... any help would be appreciate and DONT TELL ME TO SWAP Motor:doh: ... already know ..... please help :thinking: BTW its a virgin p28 ....

obd2 has ckp & ckf

where is it at where i can replace it ???????? my friend said it was in the dizzy ... but i put a perfectly running dizzy .. and its still throwing same code .!

Usually its in the dizzy on obd1

how come 2 dizzys that came out of running cars wit no cel ...... put in mine it throws codes ?

Sounds like a wiring problem to me. :D

wut do ya mean ? i ran the car for 2 days runnin stupid rich b4 any codes were thrown .. then it jus appears ....after the harness was replaced , ecu, and er thing why didnt it throw code immediately ?

Open a service manual, get wiring diagrams. Test the circuit . Stuff like that.

what does your dizzy have to do with the ckp sensor, its down by the crank on the timing belt side, at least thats were mine's at:thinking:

obd-1 CKP = in dizzy obd-2 = ckp= at your crank .

ok i have a mazda 626 and we cant figure out why the cel light is on..we were told it was the computer so we replaced it but the cel is still on...
