I'm guessing they're $100 cheaper too, but I think you'll have a hard time finding one. I read about the 60gb ps3 price drop and saw another link to a story of the 20gb being discontinued. That story was published 3 months ago so they might be pretty hard to find

Wow, I was waiting for the price to go down before I got one and finally I see this! Great news, although I am tempted to get the 80gb one.
I'll wait and see what people reccomend, it might be worth saving the extra $100. Maybe it could even go down again before I buy one.

Well with all the updates and games that require more memory to play tomming out you will need the memory. They wont release new consoles for 6to 8 years. Also read something about apple considering a game console.

Ive used like 25gb on my 60gb ps3 already.... movies, music, downloaded games, and game save data takes up a lot of space.

well personally theres no reason to get the 80gb version as you can put in another hd of any size you want. they use standard 2.5" laptop drives.
But anyway... watched the whole sony e3 event today... damne xcited... the games looked incredibly amazing.. the killzone demo... heavenly sword.. what their planning is going to be simply amazing.
also.. that metal gear solid 4 video.. jesus..
