So I went and got my 2nd tattoo yesterday. I ended up going to Planet Ink off of 41, and they did a terrific job. The environment was awesome, very high quality and DAMN clean. Heh, I was a little paranoid so I asked to watch him open all the tools (brand new needles and what not). Cam, the artist, was really cool about the tat and all, he was extremely dedicated to getting it exactly the way I wanted. I ended up calling up a friend to come in and draw the tat the way I wanted. My friend probably drew about 5-6 copies trying to get everything just right for the template. It turned out better than what I had expected, and I'm very satisfied with it. The only reason my friend ended up drawing the tat for me was because him and I are on the same level, as in we see alot of things the same way, so when I was explaining it to him it was a lot easier to get the idea accross. Props to the guys at Planet Ink, I would definately recommend going there for your tats. Well enough talk, on to the pics.

Before the tattoo pics.

When he started, fuck the beginning hurt because he started right on the bone., but I sucked that shit up and took it like a soldier, lol.

Here he was a little more than half-way. Wasn't so bad here, mostly just felt the vibration and a little pain.

A little more than half-way, taking a quick break here. You can see some of where the stencil was in, and how he was getting it done. Looking real good! :goodjob:

Alright, here he was finished with the outline, and I was sorta thirsty so we took another quick break.

Close-up of the outline.

And.....

Here we have the finished product, the fade will be alot more gradual after it finishes healing up and what not, the blood and stuff sorta screws up the fade, but I'll post pics of the final outcome.

I am completely satisfied with the results, and I'm sure I'll be satisfied even further down the line, just like I was with my first tat. Once again, props to Planet Ink, and the cool as guys I met there: Cam, EJ, and Jacob, and shout outs to my friend who helped me get my idea onto paper, Steven aka Tranceparadox.

One comment and two questions:

Heh, I was a little paranoid so I asked to watch him open all the tools (brand new needles and what not).

Comment #1: Not saying this shop isn't good, but at a good shop, you don't have to ask to see the new needles. They'll automatically show you.

Question #1: What is it? A burning cross?

Question #2: How much?

Later, QD.

Response #1: Thinking back on it, he probably would have shown me automatically, I was just sorta anxious.

Answer #1: Its a cross, behind what looks like ripped flesh. Like an openning ripped into my arm, and behind it is my faith.

Answer #2: $190

Re-Response #1: I got you. I can go with that. Like I said, I wasn't bashing the shops rep.

Sub-Answer #1: Gotcha. A job was well done by this artist.

Sub-Answer #2: Not bad for that work. I'd definitely consider them before Ink Wizard or a lot of other shops. I use Black Cat, myself for their pricing.

Later, QD.

Cool, cool. I'm not really feeling anything in particular right now. I think I'm set for a while, maybe something small, probably on the back of my calf or my shoulder blades will be next.

Shit Look NICE Man.

Thanks.

Ink Wizard? Never heard of them, but I'll be sure to stay away, lol. I've heard about Black Cat, though it was more of a mentioning of the name. Nothing good or bad. Would you mind posting pics of some of the work you got done at black cat? And the artist that did it. They got a website?

I'd be more than willing to check out a thread with some tats in it from Karmic, thought I doubt I'll ever be out in McDonough. Post up the pics!

Thanks guys.

Org. You got pics? Care to pm them to me, i just wanna see what kinda work that they do. I'm still not 100% sure on my back/shoulder piece, and whether or not i wanna throw some color on my body. Did they do Tracy's tat? The one on her leg, because that shit is sick. I remember seeing it when i went to drift fury.y.y.

Wow, that looks really good. The price isn't too bad, at least from what people have told me they paid for smaller tattoos.

Pretty cool, Im not much on tats, but Im glad you did something like this instead of what a lot of fags on here do....exp... Make and model(emblems) of the car they own at the moment(always a good one) or performance part names and symbols(another good one) and like the dude that wants to do a Comedic(spl) turbo that has eyes and a mouth....lol.... and so on!

I like it, and thats a good design!

Cool, looks like a cross on top of Africa while it's breaking apart.

I would darken the background... like behind the cross... make it really pop.. and give it some depth.

But looks good!
