Ok so I curently have 2 Alpine Type R's and I plan on buying an SUV to put a fairly large system in. I want something pretty loud. I heard that the Kicker L7's have a little kick to them as well as the Rockford FI BTL. I would like any suggestions as to which sub has a nice sound. Im looking for something that can handle some power without alot of distortion. If anyone here has an amp suggestion as well that can produce the power I will need without causeing alot of distortion that would help too.

You are obviously a fucking child.
Wattage is over rated. Thats my two cents. I'll take a W6 with 400 watts over a majority of the car audio market. They hit hard and JL doesnt make ridiculous power claims like most every other woofer company.
But if you want a high wattage and loud you can get two 18 inch Fi BTL's. I hardly know anything about the company, but have seen enough videos to make me think its the choice of people who value loudness over acoustics.

Do you want loud, or do you want it to sound good. You do know they are very different things dont you?
I've heard alot of good things about FI, or you can go tried and true with a DD9500 sub, or the world record holder Pioneer Premier TSW-5000SPL.
If you want somehting that sounds good, then W6v2, IDMAX the 04-05 RE XXX are among my favorites.
MTX Jackhammer, LMFAO, you are a moron.

I do want it to sound good but I mean loudness is a big factor as well. I want to be able to hear the different levels of the low notes in songs. Like how there is high bass and low bass if that makes any sense. I also dont want it to be distorted and just hear loudness. I want to be able to hear the clean thump and not just one continuous bass note that gets high and low. I also want it to be loud as well. In fact quite loud. I want some car flex and things to be bouncing out of the cup holders/misc. areas. So basically some crazy loud clean bass. Dont really want more than 4 subs though.

4 DD 9515's and about 12kw with the box tuned to 33-37hz for daily and a port plug for comps and your set. Make sure you do some serious deadening and electrical upgrades though.
any clue of an actual budget on this? High power subs and amps dont come cheap.

i dont really think i know systems like banginjimmy but i own the memphis mojo 10" sub and that shit sounds like a 12" w7 on steroids in a memphis box that i think improves the sound like a hundred time. but that is just my two cents on sound and Quality

I was actually thinking maybe spending like 2500 on the whole setup. I would be having two yellow tops to the back with however many caps I had amps. Think that would work? Have any suggestions? Also what amp would be a good choice to power these? I know I will need basically like 1 for each sub but which one would be a good reliable one? Also do you have any experience with these? I assume you work with an audio shop or are pretty heavily into car audio and may have worked with these before. Are they a pretty decent sub?
Looks like a good sub
(http://www.myvideo.de/watch/948455)I would be wiring everything myself and making my own box so basically all the money is going to subs, amps, batteries, caps, and all the wiring, ETC...

i like the subs they make out of everything i have used

I can tell you right now, you arent getting much for only 2500. I believe the 9515's are around 600-700 each retail. Amps to push them are going to be around the same price for anything decent. Caps are pointless, dont waste your money. Add in at least 1 HO alt, at least 3 batterys, and alot of 1/0 awg wire. You will easily hit 4-5k.

eh, same thread rehashed 10000000 times already just with slightly different wording... people bring up JL and say W7... if it is expensive it must be good etc, etc. If you want the "best" anything in a system then look to spend at least 10K. There is alot of coin involved in supporting mods to make everything work right. If you are not going to invest to make it work right... then don't waste your money and just get some cheap but good alpine type R level stuff.

Yeah he isnt going to get a ridiculous setup for 2500, but he can definitely get a loud one. 4 used W6V2's and some decent amps. 2 Solo X's could also sound really good.

you do know that sarcasm doesnt come through a computer that well dont you?
Yea 2 DD9515's with about 2kw strapped to each will cause a little noise. a friend of mine was running 2 9510's in a box tuned to 27hz with about 3kw and was doing a solid 146 on the TL at 34hz. When he built an SPL box for them and another 3kw he was just short of 160 legal on the TL. SPL car was a built for the purpose ford aspire.

Well it def. wont be a show car but I do want something loud as shit. I do understand that for 2500 I wont get that crazy system that you see in competitions. But I do think i will have something that will make people look and be like WTF. Or atleast I hope so. Dosent have to be show worthy but would like it to be quite nice for a daily. I wouldnt mind spending more after I have some invested already. Thats why i ask would 2 be loud because I wouldnt mind getting those and running and what not and then when I get some more of the money redesign the box (rebuilding) and layout of everything and rewire it and set it up for 4 subs.

haha ive had meetings and been to training on jl a while back in the day and i can honestly say their stuff is not over priced. Its high priced but its because its worth it. All of their amps push FULL POWER all the way down to 9.6 volts of power. They dont drop a watt. That is bad ass.
I wont buy it, but if i wanted to build a bad ass system i would use their amps, or memphis. and either companies subs. period.
