Someone tried to fuck with me on the drive home from work v. arrested and pics!

Yeah, you heard right, ARRESTED! He shouldn't have fucked with me. :thinking:

Lesson to be learned: Don't fuck with Ruiner. :)

So, I'm driving and this guy quickly puts on his blinker and comes over (from my right) into my lane. I honk my horn as I put on my brakes to avoid hitting him in the left-side of his car. The car is a new(er) tan/champaign Mazda 6 with tinted windows

I then get to his right and pass him. As I am passing him, I look over to my left (he is in the left lane) and he reaches down and puts a blue strobe up on his dash. :eek: He then gets behind me and follows me for a few miles. :eek::eek::eek:

He never put his strobe on, but I could clearly see it in the dash. He then flies by me and speeds on through traffic. I catch back up to the guy and decide that I have had enough of this shit. I call 911 and they put me in touch with the local PD. I give my location to the local PD and before I know it, there are FOUR cop cars pulling both of us over; one car pulls in front of him, one car between us, and two cars behind me.

They tell me to sit in my car and they walk up to his. They get the guy out of the car and I see an officer walk back to the car in front of me carrying a revolver that they found in the man's car. :eek:

Anyway, they arrested the guy and let me go. Here are a few pics as I know what IAers should do in situations such as this:

I told them the truth of what happened. They took down my statement and let me go. If he is a teacher, he fucked with the wrong man and paid the price.

A push bar and steelies do not indicate the level of police identity like the "blue" strobe, though. You can have the side light, but you can't use it if I remember correctly. I would need to check the law on the light.

Hmm, true - hence why any blue lights are illegal at least in Gwinnett County if not all of GA - thinking about it it makes sense, while people would ASSUME that your Crown Vic with the push bar and steelies is a cop car, because it looks similar, but it isn't, whereas a blue strobe light every cop car has in some way shape or form....

I want to hear the excuse the guy gave for putting the strobe on the dash

It's only illegal if you are attempting to impersonate an officer. They can arrest him and accuse him, but a decent lawyer can get him off on that one. Of course, what matters is if the firearm is regertered to him or not. If it isn't, he's in bigger trouble.

It doesn't have to be registered to him, just as long as it isn't stolen.

With that said, he did try to "intimidate" me with the strobe, but he didn't take it to the next level and "turn it on" which is definitely a crime. Either way, I hope that he learned his fucking lesson.

Actually I think your right, because I know of a guy who bought an old GSP notchback mustang that still has the graphics and light bar on top. He has a canvas cover that goes over the top that says "Not A Cop Car" or something like that.

And apparently from the arrest page they did get him for it. Awesome!

You don't have to have a permit to carry it in your car...

You can carry it in your glove box, center console (or any other compartment like that), or plain open view.

Now, if you want to carry it under your seat or something, you need a permit.
