Any reason why my vtec isn't consistent at when it "kicks in"??
Sometimes it does at 4700 rpms sometimes it's at 5k, no real pattern. The oil level also hasn't affected it.

PS, the title is just a joke...:ninja:

throttle position affects vtec. at least on my gsr. if i am at WOT then it kicks in at 4400. if i am not WOT, its at 5000.

thats how it was on my prelude, it was real hesitant to "kick in" if the rmps were climbing slower at low throttle rather then WOT. Invest in a VAFC if you dont already have one!

^ Yeah well I am swapping in a K20 in my Miata...and de stroking it to a 1.6...what ya know bout them VTECS

damnnn that shits gonna be nicee! K20 is too expensive for me and it wont bolt up like the B16 does in my engine bay

and i wish i had vtxt on my phone
