I have an 05 sti. Cel is on, obviously because of the catless turbo back. I've heard of the defouler and the Perrin O2 Simulator. Any differences in the two?

If anybody could help me get these and installed? maybe for some cash?

thanks.

thoes will only make ur CEL go off. u will still fail emmisions because there it still NO cat to convert the carbon monoxide coming from the motor to carbon dioxide. if u can just put the cat back on for the test

reset the ECU by removing the battery cables. drive the car for 100 miles, 50 up the interstate and 50 back. you do not want to encroach upon boost while driving in this period. once you have passed the 100 mile mark, drive to the emissions place. they'll plug up and you should pass.

just NO BOOSTING before the emissions. after is fine, but the CEL will come back on when you boost

2005 = obd2...

you can't reset obd2 dtc's by disconnecting battery cable unless you leave it disconnected for a REALLLLLLLY long time. but even then they're usually still stored.

i'd agree with just putting your old cats on for the test, either way you're gonna spend time working on your car, why spend more money too?

Same.

No CEL = insta-pass.

Depends on the emissions guy. If he looks to see if you have a cat, then you don't get to pass :D
