Learn HTML. Its easier to learn HTML than it is to understand what some of the idiots on IA say.

good thread man, ive been wanting to find out more about doing this also. My econ. teacher suggested to the class that from his experience he has learned that everyone should do 2 things..get a www with your name in it, and copyright your name. (dont get me wrong i'm not just looking into this because he says so, ive always been interested)

So i took the first step and came home and went to

www.jasonconner.com

hit enter, and then got that BS, so i sent the guy an e-mail asking him if i could buy it from him but he hasn't responded yet. It also looks like he hasn't updated it in a few years.

learning HTMl is not that hard.

Creating good looking websites using HTML is hard.

I have seen a lot of people that can code but have no clue what taste and a good looking website looks like.

Having a program like photoshop or something else can also help you make better websites. It's not a must...you can still make kick ass web pages just using notepad and HTML. If you are a beginner then getting a program like cutehtml, or something like that really helps. It is still a html text editor but it color codes your codes so it's easier to see what you've done and sometimes makes it red if you have coded something wrong.

If you're a bad ass just use notepad, lol.
