Today I rode Dale Earnhardt Jr's O.C.C custom chopper

Is the story I would have been telling all of you, if they had a helmet for me.

But since they didn't, I had to honor a promise I made to my wife and my mother a long time ago that I would never ride without a helmet.

As I threw my leg over the $75,000 + motorcycle I thought to myself, this is going to be so awesome. And then, after I asked where the helmets where and they said "at the hotel" the wind quickly dissappeared from my sails.

I am going to ride the bike in a parking lot tomorrow, so that should be cool, but who knows if I'll get that chance again.

Orange County Choppers built the bike for Sonoco, who built it for JR. I also sat on T - Stew's bike, and Jimmy Johnson's bike, which is way fast apparently.

Oh well, at least I kept my promise. Hope you're happy honey :) and Mom :)

Things are great with the show...thanks for asking man..

We just taped a re-cap show this week where we got everyone together and talked about funny stuff that didn't make air the first time and fun stuff like that. I really enjoyed hosting my own show, so hopefully we'll get to do a second season and make it bigger and better.

I'm doing live shows for NASCAR Live usually on friday's, and then I also get to do fun segments for NASCAR Raceday on sunday's, like this weekend when I got to go to Fenway Park for the Roush Fenway Day, which was awesome.

I'm really loving what I do.. I just wish my wife was out here on the road with me, but I am going to figure out how to make that happen in the future.

I could have, but honestly it's like the one thing that's always been important to my mom, plus it was for a TV feature and there's no way that it would look like some other goofball with a beard and spikey hair.

It's a give and take thing I guess...I get to do pretty much whatever I want to with cars, and I can possibly get another motorcycle in the future since I used to ride, but I HAVE to wear a helmet at all times, and I can't have a crotch rocket.

The funniest part was the guy was telling me after I asked for a helmet "If you're not comfortable riding, I don't want you to..." I told him "Dude, I'm fine riding this thing, I just can't go back home if my Wife and my Mom find out about this." He smiled and laughed, and then I climbed my ass back off the thing...

I took a picture with my phone, but it kinda sucks.

If anyone wants to see us riding them, I'll be riding in a parking lot tomorrow morning probably 100 feet or so on our show NASCAR Raceday.. it's a 2 hour show and I have a feature in it about going to FEnway Park friday night, but the bike thing will be in the last 15 minutes of the 2 hour show...if you're bored.

Well Ken, I did ride the bike today for a couple hundred yards. I actually drove Kasey Kahne's bike today, cause JR's has such a serious rake to it.

I've never heard great stuff about OCC's show bikes, but these were off the line of choppers that anyone can order, just a few special things done to them.

Rode nice, super Torquey... big time. Also, my hip flexors cramped up so bad after I sat on it for a few minutes.

And for the record, I had tons of condoms when I had a threesome with Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jessica Alba, but neither cared if I used them..those hoes be durty son !
