well first thing first those are two different styles, they changed them in 04. i would expect the 03s would run around 4-5k with under 10k miles and the 04s would run 5k+.

i personally think that any supersport 600 is a TERRIBLE first choice of a street bike. You should look into an sv650 or a ninja 650, or ninja 500/250. Much better choices as if you make a mistake it wont bite you int he butt.

I disagree. I started with a brand new r6 and want to get a r1. It just depends on your self control.

If you know how to ride well, why do you want an R1 if you already have an R6?

You have to have a 1.0L to be cool.

I don't know anyone that can use ANY 600cc supersport at 100% of it's ability on the street for more than 1 minute.

i wouldnt suggest getting a supersport 600 as your first bike simply for the fact that they haul ass more than you will know how to put to the ground anyways. my boss is selling his SV650s, 2005 with 22xx miles, yellow and black. 4900 dollars.

you dont have to listen to me, i really dont give a shit but you should take it into consideration. 600's like an 04 gixxer have no power down low but then it kicks in really really hard when you get the rpms going. for a beginner they dont even know how to put that to the ground so why get it. best bike to start on is the SV or ninja 650. both bikes are still fast, really fast in fact but they have smooth power delivery. and they have low mantainance. i mean i can understand if you dont want to start out on a 250 but starting out on a supersport 600 is not the way to go.

there are 2 kind of riders on the road. the ones that have laid down their bike and the ones that will.

do you want to learn and lay down a nice and pricy gixxer or buy a cheap SV that if you will lay down its not that big of a deal:2cents:
