I'm with you. After owning a mustang. I realize that it's like a cult. I was at QT pumping gas, and some fag in a 01 cobra pulled up to the pump across from me. Leans over "That mustang fast?!" I said. "Not really.. it's quick, but it's pretty much stock".. "Yeah, that's what I tell everyone. They usually buy it. Wanna race?" Guy looked like he was almost 40 too. I just don't get it. The guy who bought the car from me too kept saying "I'll look good as hell in this beast!" I've met a couple guys with them that are pretty much cool, but most of them just want to compare every car known to man to the performance of the mustang (v6 or gt).

I had this guy and his girlfriend in a red convertible new body style v6 mustang drive next to me and since they were in a convertible I could tell what he was saying. He looks over at his g/f and says watch this... downshifts, revs his engine at me and proceeds to floor it.

Im thinking omfg is this guy 4 real. So I didn't just wanna pass him, I wanted to obliterate him. Instead of downshifting from 5th to the usual 4th I went from 5th to 2nd for about half a second just for that initial boost and noise and FLEW past him so fast it was embarrassing. I could see his g/f pointing and laughing at him. HAHA that made my day

these are the ones that mess with me the most, and most of them are always BONE STOCK which makes it even worse. Well of course I cant always tell if its stock but ifyou dont have at least some exhaust your probably stock
