Personally, I believe that if they aren't going to help everyone, they shouldn't help anyone at all. And the fact that they wouldn't give the woman the morning-after pill to keep her from getting pregnant with a rape child makes me sick. What say you?

I think that's pretty fucked up. I mean she got raped, why won't they give it to her? Just because she's not the same religion? Thats BS

until the govt steps in and controls healthcare like Canada, then the hopsital and doctors can do how they feel. accept or deny patients as they want. just the same as any other BUSINESS, a hospital is a business not an open house for sick people.
but we wont get into socializing medicine, cause thats a huge can of worms...

|With the way that this country is headed right now, if healthcare were to be socialized then there would be tougher restrictions instead of fewer. I've always loved how people think they can discriminate against some one because that person is doing something they dont think is acceptable according to their religion, but God, or Allah, or Yaweh, or Jah, forbid you should discriminate against them. People think that you can justify anything by saying "its against my religion" but you know what? No one gives a flying fuck about your bullshit religion!!!!!!!! You can have whatever beliefs you want, just dont try to force them on me. I dont care if your religion advocates Necrophelia, Beastiality, and ritual human sacrifice just so long as you dont try to push it on me. Doctors have a right to their opinion but thats about as far as it should go, and if that opinion is based on religious beliefs it should NOT be shared with their patients. It's their job to help people, and save lives, and keep people healthy. Not to make some one feel guity about shit that is none of the doctors business.

She could have just went to the damn corner drug store and picked it up. It's avail to anyone over 18 w/ proof of ID. Costs about $50 dollars.

The fact of the matter is that as a doctor he has an obligation to his patients, and if offering treatment to them is 'against [his] religion,' then he should not be a doctor, ESPECIALLY not a sexual assault counselor, to begin with.
It's simply morally wrong to refuse treatment to anyone because they don't agree with your belief system.
