ive had AAA for years and i never tip them its their job to pick up your car. Thats what you pay the fee for yearly best 60 dollars a year imo.

I tip them, unless it takes an extremely long time. I have been real satisfied with the few times I have given them a call.

Yeah. Waiters, valet's, etc. all deserve tips even though it is their job.

Only real time I needed AAA was when my brake sensor went out so my car was stuck in park. AAA saved my ass.

I have only had to use it once, and there was no way in hell that I was going to tip. They told me the truck would be there in an hour. 2 hrs and 14 min after the first hour, he finally showed up.

The whole two times I've used my AAA membership to get my previous 240sx and my Jetta towed, they took a LONG time and they were such assholes about it that I wouldn't consider tipping them.

I have Allstate roadside- but its pretty much the same and I figure if I pay that money each year then I don't need to tip. I don't tip a regular tow truck driver either because I a know if I'm getting a tow, its about to cost me a lot.

lets go back to the logic of waiters and valets

why do you tip them? i mean you paid for your food and your parking...

I usually tip them, especially good service. Like going out of their way to make sure they can get my lowered cars on the truck without taking out my bumper.

Because they make $2 an hour and are expected to make the rest off of tips. If they made $10 an hour I wouldnt tip them.

BTW: God you guys are cheap. Only one of twelve people can spare some change for the tripe a guy helping them out?

so we just assume that the AAA people make $10/hr?

plus i dont understand why people are so cheap these days.... i mean if i get good service then i want that person to know that i appreciate their good work

IDK. I tip them anyways cuz I have no clue.

And I agree with you on that. It's nice to get a tip and know that someone appreciates what you're doing. I worked at a golf course and even guys driving new XKR Jags wouldnt spare some change for good service.
