I was wondering if anyone had a staggered setup on an IS300 that could give me some info. I looking to do a 19 x 8 in the fr and 19 x 9.5 or higher in the rear but, the tire shops tell me it will rub. Any info would be great!!

The rear will rub some. You'll need to have the fenders rolled.
I believe the 9.5 in the rear is just barely too much to clear with a different offset.

It will only rub depending on the offset. Anyone who tells you a wheel will rub based solely on the width doesn't know what he/she is saying. Offset is more crucial to wheel fitment than width.

The wheels that i'm getting are 19 x 8s up front and 19 x 9.5 in the rear. The offsets that are offered in the rear are 20 & 35. The wheel guy says that 9.5 will rub, does anyone know any thing different? Thanks!!

with +35 offset in the rear you will most likely rub if you dont give the rear fenders a slight massage. have them pulled slightly.
now if you go with a 18x9.5 in rear with a +40 or +45 offset you will probably not rub.

you will never be able to fit those offsets in that width unless you do a full molded widebody conversion and even then it might not fit.
on a 9.5" wide wheel in the rear you need a +55 offset if you want to run a 255 w/o rubbing.. you may be able to squeeze in a 265 without having to cut out the fender lip.. once you cut out the fender lip a 275 might fit as well. as for the front, i would stay in the +40 range...
