Does it turn over? Does anything happen when you turn the key?

Yeah the starter gets power but it won't crank up.

Fuel's running to the rail

My long time mechanic has dissappointed me - unavailable guy all of a sudden

dealer > him due to new regulations.

JM i'll hit you up!

is it seized? like the starter doesn't want to turn over but it is still recieving power, check all your fuses. maybe a relay somewhere too.
any exposed wires? timing off?
try checking the plugs, make sure they are even useable and no rusted over.
does the starter click like its attempting to turn over or does it actually move?

^just for starters^

Started turns willingly plugs are decent

all fuses fine

Not sure about he dizzy 100% though - might be the culprit.

no problem buddy! let me know, typically there is a formula.

F.A.S.T

FUEL, AIR, SPARK, TIMING. if it has all that and doesn't work then its generally electrical. but i would stick with the dizzy for the moment

Shit don't believe JM. This guy is only good for replacing USDM parts with fake Ebay JDM stuff.

Anyways here is the deal. Take one of the spark plugs wires out and ground it somewhere and have a buddy turn the engine a couple of times. Try to do it in a dark spot so you can see the arc that this will create. Try that and let me know what happens.

wow good job george, or maybe he could just have taken the cap off and seen a spark sigh. sigh figures that you would state something obvious.... illegal aliens always tryin to prove american citizens wrong... i'm calling INS you nissan broken boosted hO!

Don't be hating! Your ass is always calling for my professional JDM advice BUT ANYWAYS. I recommend doing it on cylinder #1 to begin with if you don't know which one it is just trace back from where it says 1 on your distributor cap most likely the 1st plug on your left (pass anger side).

BTW I also own a 2000 Nissan Altima. Still needs a few things but I'm working on it too.

I think the 2000 altimas have coil-on-plug ignition.

Anyways, if you are getting spark, fuel pressure, and the motor is turning over, then maybe the immobilizer somehow got tripped and the ecu is not sending the (ground) pulses to operate the injectors. Check for the clicking noise of the injector by holding the tip of a screwdriver to the injector and putting your ear up to the handle. If no clicking, and the injectors are recieving +power, then the ecu is it, or the immobilizer. Re-program the ecu and keys (nissan dealer) if it is the immobilizer.

Sec. light stays red!

I changed the batt. thinking that would do somethin' (hell is my problem)

Quick run down:

Car stopped being driven for a while

battery died

car will not crank.

That light stays on though......hmmmm

Take key's + title to the dealer?

What's the best way?

I just bought the car and didn't sign the title into my name do to the 30 day restriction. (but i have the title) :)

I can get the owner to go with me though.

I need to solve this THIS weekend!
