when you turbo a car you essentially presurize the system (meaning the turbo pushes air into the intake via ic piping) the bov will release that pressure when you let off the gas thus producing the sound that you hear (its nothing more than blowing up a balloon and popping it in a retarded since) different bov's produce different sounds, hks makes a couple inserts for their ssqv's that will make different sounds, then you have stuff like the RFL's, etc that are Real Fucking Loud, hence the name....or you can put a turkey call on it and irritate the shit outta people at walmart

and thats a SSQV...

with the purple insert iirc

Well I knew how it was made just didnt know if it is the type of BOV or a regular one that is adjusted differently or Compression surge mixed with a tuned BOV. I wasnt sure exactly what it was. Thanks

yep...once the butterfly closes , the charge has nowhere else to go...if you dont run a BOV you will have compressor surge , that is basically the charge hitting the turbo...

but yeah , there are plenty of BOV's out there...they all make different sounds, but most of them have the same basic function. there are different types also , push/pull , atmospheric..etc

and im pretty sure thats an HKS SSQV, or an ARC.
