I have a big screen projection TV thats been fuckin up lately. Sometimes when I turn it on, a big multi-color spiral fills the screen and it turns off by it self. Last night it did that again, but when I turned it back on the screen was black, except for 3 bright circles that filled the center of the screen. On the other side of the room, it looked like some one had 3 laser pointers aimed at the wall. Now my screen has those three binary colored circles burned into it. Has any one else ever had this problem? Am I going to go blind if I look into the screen when that happens again?

My camera really isn't picking the dots up, but they are much brighter on the black and white channel. Is there any way I can get rid of them or are they permanently burned into the screen? It looks like some one drew on my TV.

Thats crazy man, it is def not something you can fix, a tech will need to look at it.

Since you say it is a Rear Projection TV, I am guessing it is a CRT TV meaning it is using a type of vacuum tube and a magnifying glass to create your picture. If one of the 3 becomes out of line then the magnifying glass could act as a it would like burning an ant with one. I would call the manufacture and see what they can do.

Check this out if you wanna know more about the CRT

QD finds ghosts by running around naked with a burning candel sticking out of his ass, I don't want him dripping wax on my carpet.
