ok im rollin 18 konigs right now with 225/40zr18 92w toyo proxy's right now... my question is im a tad new to the tire size thing...what other sizes if any would be good for my car... i def want another set of low-profile performance tires .... and i typically buy yokohamas or toyo or falkens but ima lil short on cash at the momment and need some new rubber.

which brings me to my second question...

anyone know where i can get the hook up on some good tires? like price and service wise....guys at ntb totally ripped off my mom when i ddint go with her last time and im lookin for some good prices and good service...

depends what car you have but if that tire size works and your happy with it, why change it?

The first number is the width of the thread patch in mm.

The second number is the % ratio of the sidewall with the thread width (first number).

The last number is the size of the hole opening in inches (i.e your wheel size).

My advice.... check out www.edgeracing.com They have the best prices i have ever come across and shipping is quick because they are a big warehouse in south FL. Pay someone to mount and balance and your good to go.

For some decent Toyo Proxes 4 that so many people seem to have your looking at $486.92 shipped. Mounting should run you about $60?

Lol, what kind of car do you have?
Do you care to explain how the guy at NTB ripped off your mom? I am curious to know because the prices are set, and customers always have to authorize things before they are done...
Furthermore, do you honestly think that people who work in that industry would have treated her differently if you were there vs you not being there?

Exactly. This person being there isn't going to cause set prices to change. Now I'm not speaking for NTB because I don't like them, but the truth is the truth. Later, QD.

They may have up sold road hazard or a more expensive tire. I have worked in a garage with shady sales people. They will tell people that if something happens to the tire you are ass out and have to buy a new tire even if the tire comes with road hazard from the manufacturer. Ive also seen them tell people that the tire they asked for is substandard and immediately push a higher priced tire (I highly doubt grandma is going to need a high performance z rated tire on her Accord). I'm not taking his side because I wasn't there and I don't know the story, but an uniformed consumer is a commissioned salesman's dream.

Bottom line. She did approve and sign off on the work.

don't go to NTB, they are sucks.
I would say go to discounttires online, or tirerack to look for tires.
They both have variety brands and sizes.
