Well back in April when it was 60 degrees out i dynoed 390/327 on a dynojet. Well today it was 88 degrees and did 375/314 i figured it was due to heat. I got to looking and decided to pull the air filter off for a pass and i'm glad i did. The car (http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?p=3890566#) made 395/325 on the 2nd pull and then 389/325 on the 3rd pull. Looks like the filter was clogged a bit. From the april run i finished out my exhaust (http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?p=3890566#) and moved the filter and seems to have worked as 28 degrees in temps is alot.

Aren't the Zs notrious for the ECU "de-tuning" itself after the gains from mods.

well, the vortech comes with a splitsecond box. The ecu has no control over the timing or fuel now.

N/a yeah most Z's don't see the best gain, but some do.

8.5 is usually as high as it gets on the boost gauge. the 3.12 is suppose to be 9psi.

That's a beautiful torque curve. Congrats on the numbers

I was talking to a friend the other day that has a vortech on his G35. He has the greddy sp exhaust on there and the guys tuning it didnt think it would see the numbers it did. I wanna say hes around 390whp @ 9lbs. I asked him if he thought he would make any more power with a dual exhaust setup and he doesnt seem to think it will because the larger exhaust will lower the boost to about 8 or 8.5lbs.

What kind of exhaust do you have?

Desnuts. if your talking about Brando hes making right at 350 on the "HeartBreaker" with the smaller 3.12 pulley. about 8.5psi depending on how hot it is. the stock (3.33) pulley is good for 6-7psi. he would make more power if he just did headers and loose the HFC and some sort of TD exhaust. remember Stormcrow made 340's on his 05 rev-up G coupe bone stock exhaust and everything with his 3.33 pulley. idk different cars do different things. not every one is the same.

How do you like the torque delivery on the supercharged Z?

Who has the dark burg 350 w/ the stillen FMIC Gwinnett tag and body kit? I saw him a week ago, and he got on it and it sounded SC'd, not turbo'das I suspected.
Regardless, great lookin car!
Back to topic, good #s, should be a fun street car for sure.

I'm running tp's and a y pipe exhaust.. i would agree that the dual exhaust wouldn't benefit the s/c guys till higher boost.

Stillen FMIC could just be a Air/Water radiator for the Stillen SC which isn't so good for the money. Saw the Kong's Bodyshop 350Z dyno w/ one at Batlground and it put down like 287whp w/ 6k in the install. Heard they ripped it out the next day and went Greddy TT. It put down less whp than my brother's auto VQ30 Maxima at 7psi (homemade turbo kit no less).

Impressive numbers by the original poster. Hope to do that someday w/ my G sedan.

what psi are you running on? did you touch the internals or are they stock? nice numbers tho.

stock internals. haven't even had the valve covers off... 8.5psi most of the time.

Stillen superchargers are Roots style and arent made for peak hp. they are good for everyday driving and make gobs of tq basicly off idle. It only made 287hp, but I bet it averaged 250hp across the board...

just before i moved over to forged they had one on the dyno stage 2 stillen. weak sauce 278whp(i think) on a auto. didnt even touch 300whp. lol But i did make instant 4psi.. but yeah stillen FTL! DNuts you should see what i have in store for my little panty dropper. wink wink

I would love to see what you have in store....actually, I would prolly hate it too...cause once I find out, Im sure I would want one...

Do you know, off the top of your head, a ballpark figure of what you guys would charge to tune a supercharged G?

nice, i meet a guy at a place i use to work who had a silver bone stock looking 350z with a spoiler on it, and a front black bumper bra! HE had the motor rebuilt with a p2 procharger on it, making 514hp, at 450tqr, he also was spraying notrogen on the intercooler, but never did it during a dyno pull to see how much it affected it!

i believe it starts from 400-600. i think it ranges. call sandy up she should know better off the top of her head.

oh you already want what i have in store and just about every other Z and G driver looking for more power. but what im doing now is only the frist stage of my final plans. the second part.... ohh its going to be stupid. you think Sharif's car is fast on high boost pump gas.(15psi) yeah.... but we are just going to leave it a wastegate of 9psi for the daily drive.

Ah ok, sorry. The other night @ commerce there was a guy in a purple 350z that was s/c'd. Lets just say he was having some traction issues
