I need advice, so if you dont have anything that will honestly be helpful, dont say anything.

I have a 1993 240sx hatch. Black. I really have no idea what its worth but it has a few problems. I also have about 4 grand worth of bills that I am slowly catching up on.

The 240 is paid off so It only has positive equity.

Should I sell the car and hope to find a new one later, or keep it so I know that I will have the equity to fall back on?

I have always loved 240's and it took me forever to find one. What should I do??

What kind of shape is it in, body and mechanically?

body is ok. Has 4 screw holes in the hatch where a cf spoiler was. the front end has a primer block and the paint isnt great... Mechanically it runs but overheats. Could be a really good car if I knew where to start. I have a carpet kit and springs to put on it but I want to get the overheat problem fixed before I fuck up the motor. ITs the only stock KA I have seen that doesnt smoke at all

Check the thermostat, and the radiator for corrosion and buildup. If both are good, check the water pump. That's not really a complicated thing to fix. As it sits I would keep it if you like it that much IMO. It's not really worth it to sell it and then try and find another one in decent condition down the line. The older they get the harder they will be to find in good shape.

thats really where I am leaning. I guess if someone was willing to pay the cash for it I would sell it.... but I probably want more than its worth to most people. especially for what I paid for it.

Well, anything has a price, but its finding someone to pay it. I would even get rid of my CRX for the right price, but after owning it for 12 years, that price isn't cheap lol

yeah well part of the appeal is the rear wheel drive. People hat the 240 now because its the "new civic" but It has its advantages that you can find parts. I dont really slide it but its nice to have the option. What all do you have done to the crx?

Did you fix the overheating issue yet? KAs are notorious for being a real bitch like that. You may need to just keep bleeding the coolant. Trapped air pockets inside will make it overheat like crazy, and if you keep overheating it, you will probably break something.

Just bleed it. It needs to be done a few times before all of the air bubbles are out of the system.
