Sold my CL-S for $15k, and turned around and paid $4000 for my 97 GSR (red, one owner, 82k miles, clean). Only catch was that I had to fly to penn to get it and drive it back. Bought it from an older guy who drove it in the summer and had a crv he drove anytime there was snow or salt on the road.

I figure I'll drive it a few years till my insurance drops, resell it for $4000 and buy something new (I'm thinking Porsche)

07 Ram 1500...paid 22k after intrest she'll be around 32ish......430 a month.

10k in interest is sick on a Dodge Ram. I mean that's 45% of the purchase price you're giving to the bank to own a shiny truck. By my calculations you have a 72 month loan at ~10% APR which is borderline loan sharking. By the time you pay it off, it'll be worth no more than 8-9k or less than 1/3 of what you put in.

An old business associate got a well optioned crew cab '04 4x4 4.7L Ram at $450/60mon at 0% and 0 down during Dodge's crazy sales. Given the Dodge depreciation he still wound up crazy upside down on a truck he barely uses.

Usual rule for responsible car buying is you should never buy a car that exceeds 8% of your monthly gross...including insurance. Either you make ~75k/year but still have bad management of credit therefore the high interest or you're in over your head should you have any shortfalls.

I'm not trying to be mean but some of the people on this board are easily going overboard on buying new cars. Looking on the Wall st forum and seeing all the people trying to get out of their credit problems and I can see why. Ideally exceeding 5 years on a car not is not a good idea and double digit interest is especially bad. If your credit sucks, buy cheaper.
