i was driving my car to the shop to get it fixed so that i could pass emissions and i got pulled over for expired tag.i just looked it up on line and its a 167 dollar ticket.my car should be fixed tomorrow and then i go get emissions then i can get my tag. is there anything i can do , like show them reciepts?

Yeah I just got one the other night.. Second one or third(Last year)

Its actually way cheaper if you dont even have a tag at all then it is with an expired tag....So Gay!

They normaly bring the fine down if you get it fixed before you pay it, thats how it usually is with mine!

there is nothing that you can do b/c you could have gone and paid the advolurom(sp) tax on the car and they would have given you and updated sticker... once it passed emissions you just take it to them and they give you the rest of your registration

nope, just show them you got it fixed.

How late was it?

I was dealing with 6 months on a Cali tag on one...haha... and 4 months on another. and this one I just got I was 3 months. The reason being, I dont drive my car much or it is usually in the shop, or I dont have the money when I think about it.

i get one of those tickets everyyear. all it takes is a copy of your paid tag receipt and they will drop the charge to half the cost
