I got a 46 on a 25 ticket last week (21 over). I checked online and they want $173. What should i do now?

-Pay $173 and take 3 points on my record and most likely my insurance rate will go up. Im over 18 but under 21, which means if I got just one more point within the next year my license would be suspended. Does anybody know how much i should expect my insurance to go up?

-Hire a lawyer. I know a really good one which should cost no more than $400 and I know almost for sure that he will keep me from getting any points, and possibly getting the ticket dropped. But I would then still have to pay the court however much they want, and he would probably make me take defensive driving class again which is a pain in the ass and another $70.

I believe this would be considered my "first" ticket because my last one was dropped.

Skip the hassle, pay the fine, and slow down in the future. :)

well at least it wasn't for 17 over and $225. Weigh the costs of the lawyer + DD class vs. insurance rates in the long run or just bite the bullet and drive like grandma for a while.

when you pay the ticket mail it in for $1 dollar more than they ask. Sounds stupid but it actually works. My gf did this and its been 6mos already and no mark on her record. they have to issue you a refund for the $1 before the complete the transaction

I was ready to start flaming another kid complaining, but not this time.

I'd just pay it and slow down.

Your insurance will definitely go up when it come to renew it, as far as the ticket is concerned, you can pay the fine take a slap on the wrist, go to a Defensive Driving Class and make sure that you specify that your taking the class for POINTS REDUCTION, pay your 75 dollars, take it to Conyers and after that be carefully cause you can only do Points Reduction once every 4 years.

Man thats not too bad i would just pay it, i was cruising along one night about 11:30 or so and just as i rode by the cop (which was sitting in the dark with no lights on whatsoever) pulled out real fast a hit his lights. He got me doing 63 in 45 which isn't too bad but it was in workzone so the tickett ended up being 260 dollars. Hall Co. sucks nutts!!!
