Good RPG on pc or PS2

So I love RPGs ,but not like final fantasy kind. I like medievil looking characters. I like to kill things for gold and with that gold get better equipment. Worst thing in a RPG is when your at the armor shop and it DONEST tell you if this makes your stata go up untill after you buy it and try it on. So I what do you guys think of a not so cutesy like secret of mana or something for the pc or ps2?

Yea I did d2 and the exp for a LONG time and made ALOT OF money off of the game with ebay. I had a bot that worked with patch 1.10and it would find items in the game while I slept and then I would sell them.

BUT i found a way to repay me for my play time. I flipp charictors, have a main one that has all the best shit..

then when i feel bored after work or whenever there is really nothing to do, I will lvl somthing else, gear it up slightly, sell it on ebay =D so far over the past 3 years, iv made over 9K from just a video game, its how i bought my car :goodjob:

try valkyrie profile or valkyrie profile 2.... incredible graphics, based on Norse mythology, hence medieval looking stuff, the battle system isnt a traditional RPG, it's more active. It's made by tri-ace/squaresoft, btw. So far i've been enjoying it. The game itself is pretty linear so far, and it is side scrolling (don't let that deter you though, it doesn't take away from game play imo).

Yea I like the d2 style, just wonder around and kill stuff, I HATE turn based and the walking around and step on something and now ur in a fight scene. Like dragon warrior or final fantasy

World of Warcrack for the PC if you haven't tried that already is fun although time consuming. D2 and Starcraft were absolutly the shit. Oblivion is fucking awsome one of the best RPG's ever. Shadow Hearts for the PS2 is a not to well known RPG but is a damn good one. But WoW although its only 14.99 a month would be your best bet. TONS AND TONS of content and you never can do everything. Playing that right now and leveling my second 70. Also if you want to try another MMO EvE Online is something different space RPG that is pretty cool. Active diplomacy and a market economy that is the shit. But thats just my 2 cents.

Age of Empires was the shit. How I was first hooked on video games. Got it for I think my 8th birthday when I was a wee lad and loved it. Although I couldn't quite figure out why it took me 2 hours to build a wonder with 1 guy lmao.

has anyone played Knights of the old republic 1 and 2? I thought those were great games. The graphics aren't terrible, but not eye candy. But the gameplay was great and the story was pretty good for both of em.

WoW is only addicting if you have nothing else to do. IE Work, Girlfriend, Car, Driving, Friends, Music, Ect. If you have a few of those things the 15 a month is nothing man. I stopped playing it and came back later and Its no where near addicting the second time around >.<

Othr than that. the Dot.Hack series is decent, a little short, but the games run together and pass over your character and gear. Also a game no one ever knows is Radiata Stories, its a really fun RPG for PS2 thats almost an RPG satire. Great gameplay. And pretty much the ultimate RPG on PS2 has got to be Star Ocean: Till the End of Time. Its long as hell and even when you beat it after 60+ hours you've got more. Loads of fun.
