i see the world for what it is, beyond the white and the black
The way the government downplays historical facts
'Cuz the United States sponsored the rise of the 3rd Reich
Just like the CIA trained terrorists to the fight
Build bombs and sneak box cutters onto a flight
When I was a child, the Devil himself bought me a mic
But I refused the offer, 'cuz God sent me to strike
With skills unused like fallopian tubes on a dyke
My words'll expose George Bush and Bin Laden
As two separate parts of the same seven headed dragon
And you can't fathom the truth, so you don't hear me
You think illuminati's just a fuckin conspiracy theory?
That's why Conservative racists are all runnin' shit
And your phone is tapped by the Federal Government
So I'm jammin' frequencies in ya brain when you speak to me
Technique will rip a rapper to pieces indecently
Pack weapons illegally, because I'm never hesitant
Sniper scoping a commission controllin the president

Ahh shit. Slow rapping is North. Always has been. Don't take that as a diss and I didn't say everyone was slow rapping. It's just known for slower rapping style and slow, meaningful beats. Well I'm not saying they aren't good, it's just that you can tell that their music was made in the 80s-90s. What I'm saying is go listen to Sucker MCs, and then go listen to Elevators or Ms. Jackson and tell me when each one sounds like it was made. Most people would tell you that DMC sounds like it was made in the late 80s, yes Elevators was made around 2000-2002, when it was made about 5 years before.

1. Gangstarr is J Premier and G.U.R.U. It is not a "him"

2. The only Pac you like is All Eyez on me, which was mediocre at best and should have been condensed into just one album. The Makiavelli album was garbage and was a posthumous release of outtakes and bSides. You need to listen to Me Against the World and 2Pacalypse to get a better appreciation of Pac.

3. You caliing Rakim a legend? Please be honest, do you even own Paid in Full? Don't Sweat the Technique? Follow the Leader? I dunno if he's the G.O.A.T....? I always thought Kane was doper, but Paid in Full and Don't Sweat the Technique could arguably be 2 of the greatest ALBUMS of all time. Rakim hasn't done shit right in over 15 years. He had a nice little 5 year period, but he can't be called the greatest of all time based on a 5 year run of dopeness. He's like a Gayle Sayers imo.

4. Big L, I was a huge fan of his unsigned mixtape stuff, but his only album was iffy. Platinum Plus was hott tho.

90% of mainstream rap is garbage. A few good songs mixed in, but mostly not worth wating you life listening to it.

Underground rap is always the best you are going to find. I only really know the chichago underground cause thats where I grew up. I remember listening to Twista when he was still Tung Twista, Crucial Conflict before "Hay", DA Smart, B-Low 0, Snipaz, Southside Mobbin.

Other older, and not as well known NORTHERN rappers that stayed pretty much in the underground. Dayton Family from Detroit is the one that comes to min at 3am, but there are others.

So true. I was a huge fan of Eric B and Co. Rakim was a badass emcee, but, like JM said, a few years at the top does a G.O.A.T. not make. To me, he's on the line of Kool G Rap and Kane both. Later, QD.

White rappers is an oxymoron. The only white rapper I will listen to is MC Serch and Pete Nice. And they aren't pure white. Later, QD.

I'm one that doesn't consider them rap at all. More like shock rock. Later, QD.

What did Rakim do ? How is he a legend? I mean, Eric B and him could never out shine RUN DMC... Or Kurtis Blow... Who were hot around the mid to late 80's..

NOTHING.... he was/is wack... I mean.. when LL and Fresh prince steal your shine.. how good can you really be?

hahaha.
He was diffrent back in the Mid to late 80's because of his slow and raw delievery of his rhymes.... It was diffrent back then..
But You have to realize when he went solo around 90-91 or whatever year it was...
He was going against some Future HIP HOP GOATS.
