IMO.You would be better served parking the Mustang, throw a cover over it. Take the freaking insurance off it and let it sit for a year. Concentrate on paying the bills off, then fire the Mustang back up. You don't need to drive it Monday-Friday anymore, take the Element on the weekends. Hell what happens if you sell it tommorrow and I fire you Tuesday. You're fucked and have to buy a car when your least able too (BTW I will at least wait until Wedensday to fire you).

Here's my last :2cents: on this subject. You should park the Mustang. The money you were paying for insurance and gas should go to paying off the Element.... Ok, your up-side down in the Element, so what. See if you can refinance. Rather than selling a car that's paid off for less than it's worth to pay the bad debt on the Element, so you can trade the Element in on another car. I'm sure there are other factors I'm not aware of, but selling a paid-off car doesn't sound like a good idea to me. If you park it for a year what does it cost you? Nothing.

It is sad because I see all these nice cars running around. As you know, I now travel for a living. I get to see a lot of nice cars that I just can't afford. I always see young people driving a nicer car than I drive. It gets depressing sometimes.

Four years ago I went through a bankruptcy because of some stupid choices that I made. I am almost out of that hole, 3 years earlier than everyone said I would be. My credit score is rising monthly. I use to be able to buy what ever I wanted, now I get gouged with financing. That is what happened with the Element, it was a $16k vehicle and I was paying $500 a month for it. I had to have a second car for Sha, so I really had no choice. I lost my mustang because of it. But now I have a brand new car and I pay less than I did with a 4 year old car that was half the price of this one. Back when I bought the mustang, I had 0% financing. I am gettign closer and closer to being able to get that again though.
