i mean im not in the kills lounge cause i dont race. (thats obvious) theres barely information on the web site anymore is more like questions and little breif answers like here talk to this guy or talk to this guy kinda thing.

Its either about stupid ass race comments and jokes which most of those threads need to be locked or wasted threads about pple getting married or their little dog named foofoo shitted on tha carpet and then someone takes a picture of it and comments.

I guess it depends on what kind of forum you want. There are other boards where the mods run them like Nazis and you can't say anything other than the usual drone. Or boards like this where you can say pretty much whatever you want, within reason. I've noticed the same thing in the short time I've been here, my biggest pet peeve has been the "fake username" trend. Seems like conversations always dwindle to the lowest common denominator, sex or race. I'll admit I get on here just to have fun and don't have a lot of thought provoking comments. However, if there was a thread worth a damn, who knows? I just might.

Here is the thing for me... when I got on here I hit it hard. I was loving the relationship/sex threads - those are 2 things in life that I really have figured out to the T. Me, Brett, Leisa, Jocelyn, Ahmorah and a few others would have REAL conversation about some things in life that will matter long after your car gets slow or the paint fades. Then I'd hit the N/A lounge and learn from VTECKID, 99Si, and a few others. I'm a 2nd degree in JKD so a few of the older martial arts threads were the lick too. Even the CLASSIC fake drama threads (not the weak ones) were a good laugh. There was a time when there was only about 5 REAL assholes, and that was the perfect balance. For some reason those worked, and we came to accept and even look forward to it when the real personalities didn't post for a while.Then you had the few that saw that "formula" to be a dick, and tried to replicate and it you could tell it was fake. Now there are way too many wannabe assholes.

I haven't been on here as long as a lot of people. But I do remem some good shit. I think we are all getting older and wiser - and that's all good. Just today I looked at my cars and was like "why" - is it time to move on? Is it time to get a big Lexus w/ wheels and nitrous and call it a day? And not just "thinking" about it like most do - I mean REALLY posting that "getting outta the game" thread for REAL and moving on w/ other things in life. I am a weird one like that b/c I AM a true enthusiast, but I also get satisfaction by watching from a distance. I can always say "I did it."

I've been here for a good bit too. I mostly lurk (look at my post count lol), but I've noticed alot of new members have joined and the meets are getting bigger and bigger. It's kind of a double edged sword since IA.com has grown into mass proportion, so you can't really expect the same out of it anymore. I used to go on here about car questions, but now it's turned into more of those websites where you turn to when you're bored (i.e. youtube, kontraband, etc.). I frequent v6performance.net and honda-tech.net now for all my car tech needs, but IA.com has always been fun though. Sure, the varsity meets are getting lamer and lamer, but who knows... Maybe one day IA will grow bigger and we will be able to host sponsored events with kind donations.

I agree with Tasuki. I've probably been on IA now maybe 45 minutes in the last 4 days. A lot of people know that's a huge drop in IA time for me. Seriously, a lot of you people responding are the last people to respond about how the site is. I've been here since the site was only a couple of months old. It's true that IA has change, drastically, over time and most of that is attributed to the increase in population. I don't feel like going any further, only to say that sometimes, change isn't good. About changing IA to whoreslounge.com, I was referring to the fact that the off topic part of this site gets exponentially more traffic than the automotive sections. This is by far the biggest car forum I visit, with easily the least amount of information about cars/racing. A little bass ackwards IMO.

I really don't care if porn is on here or not, just a lot of people have complained about it. I was just in a bad mood and a little drunk last night and noticed how much others have been complaining, and at the time, it seemed like that was what all the people cared about. I made a rash post, but I didn't mean to offend. I know a whole lot of work goes into managing an internet forum, and I probably can't imagine the actual time it takes with a forum this big.

even going back as far as carrascopa( a name i havent heard on here in forever, but one of the people i personally remember being on here. shits changed and hopefully not for the worse. information....connnections......GOOD tasteful joking and banter. those are the things IA was king for. now days ? i dont know.
