It's been a while since I posted any new pics of my ride. I finally did a real detail job on my BMW after about 2-3 yrs. I bought all of my detail stuff from autogeek. I used Wolfgang claybar and lubrication, Wolfgang polish swirl remover, Wolfgang paint sealant, and lastly I hit it with Pinnacle's Souveran Wax. It took me about 9 hrs from start to finish.

Camera used was a Nikon D70 with the kit lens and a Nikon 50mm 1.8 lens.

I think its in east cobb.

I may have seen you around a few times. I dont think it was you, but a nice bmw was driving next to me on roswell rd. by the east cobb park a while ago and the front bumper of the bmw flew off and went over my car. I was stunned.

Oh shit that was me. It was my rieger lip that was attached under the bumper that broke off and flew off my car. I left the East Cobb Bicycle shop on Roswell Rd next to that blockbuster store. That damn driveway was so steep that when I pulled out it pulled the rivets out. I was pissed. I had to order another damn lip.

Thanks for the comments everyone. The paint is original, and it is called Avus Blue.

Lots of patience, a strong arm and back and some beer. When I was done my back and shoulder were aching. This was my first time doing a full real detail like this, so I went kinda slow. I never clay bar'd a car before. I think next time I can probably do it in 6-7 hrs.

Off of the Gallery link I posted these are from the 50mm lens. Some where shot at 1.8 and 2.8 in Aperture priority mode.

Picture #
5 f/2.8
6 f/2.8
7 f2.8
8 f/2.8
9 f/1.8
22 f/1.8
23 f/1.8
24 f/2.8
25 f/2.8

Here are some cool shot I took with the 50mm lens at f/1.8. Closeups make the backgrounds really blurry.

thats crazy DOF, i will be snaggin up a 50 1.8 soon. my 300 2.8 will have to be decent for now :)

the dog looks blurry, maybe motion blur/ camera shake. Might be that the DOF of 1.8 is so crazy little that when u focus on the snout the eyes are blurry. Maybe a combo of all three???? none the less- cool beans :D i see you around DTMPower.net every once in a while i think....
