so i really want to paint my wheels like in the picture. but yea knowing how i fuck everything up that i touch iam hestitant to do it myself. anybody know how to that does a good job would want to paint them for me? just tell me how much

Its not that hard really. You DONT have to do all the crazy prep work of sandinging down and shit. I have painted countless sets of wheels and i have never even washed the wheels before paint and they are about as close to powercoating as you can get. Like these....

i agree.i have even seen the autozone wheel paint that looked good.if you dont like that just use a gun to spray it.all you can do is spray it over again.

I painted my Kosei K1's using dupli-color high gloss engine (#) paint and dupli-color wheel clear coat

The dupli-color clear ruined the look of the dupli-color graphite the last time i tried it. The wheel paint already has a mix so it acts similiar to a clear coat anyways, don't need it.

It's easy to prep: wash them well with a hot water & degreaser mix then using a air gun (or leaf blower :tongue: ) remove the water around the bead of the tire so it doesn't streak the paint later. Lightly sand with 400 grit or so and wipe down thoroughly with paint thinner (available by the quart or gallon at autoparts stores). Tape around the wheel on the tire then press it in the bead with a card from your wallet or whatever.

I prefer the dupli-color wheel paint -- lightly spray the cracks and crevices first...lug holes, edge of spokes, etc. then on to the larger flat surfaces. Several even coats with 15 minutes or so between.

Painted my wheels and roof rack with the duplicolor graphite on the rover and painted the hood with the same "semi-flat black" i used on the wheels above...

spray paint has come a long way.its not just a crappy can job anymore.
